Let us give you a few words on the care of Rhipsalis: Note that Rhipsalis in habitat grow in trees. They are shaded by the tree canopy. They root into debris in the tree crotches and to the tree itself. They are rained upon frequently, but the rain water drains rapidly. The lesson you learn from this is to use gritty mix that drains quickly so you can water more frequently. Liberal use of perlite, horticulture charcoal and/or wood shavings in your normal cactus mix will give good results. As Rhipsalis are shade plants in habitat, they do well indoors in a bright spot.
